Today I sat my first ever school exams! Ok, so they were “mocks” and I don’t get any credits from them but all the same, exams are exams 😉
I just wanted to share a bit of advice for any future or current exams you may be sitting – because I am now a self-appointed exam-advice-giver 😉
- Breath. Seems logical, but sometimes it can be hard to remember to do this properly. I could go into a whole lot of scientific details but basically ultimately if you remember to breath nice an slow, or just at a normal calming pace it can help you concentrate and think.
- Prepare. Don’t start the night or week before. Time is your best ally and also the best way for you to work out your best studying strategies. I have to say I wish I had followed my own advice about this 🙂 But I can honestly say you’ll feel a lot better in your exam if you know you’ve prepared for it.
- Believe in yourself. The worse thing is self-doubt especially when in an exam. Believe that you are going to do well, and trust me you will do a lot better. Know you strengths and weaknesses and work with that, but don’t assume you know nothing 😉
I hope this was helpful in some way 🙂 Please feel free to leave comments about what you advise for studying! I would love to hear them (I still have a week of exams to go ;))
Lui xx 🙂
