What Does Christmas Mean To Me?|Day 1

Hello sweet peas, and welcome to the first day of Blogmas!!!! πŸ˜ƒ It’s finally that time of the year, and I am so ready to get into the festive mood 😊

I thought I’d begin blogmas by talking about what Christmas means to me.😊 Just like anywhere else in the world, in New Zealand the emphasis is on family, and coming together 😊 Because it is summer for us Christmas has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere, and there is always a barbeque somewhere! πŸ˜‚

To me Christmas is always about the laughs, and smiles, and stories that happen when my family all come together. There is always plenty of food to be shared, and we must have pavalova and brandy snaps!! Usually the kids in the family will play games (usually involving water!), and we always have a secret Santa 😊

This year I’m not celebrating Christmas in New Zealand, and will be in the Northern Hemisphere (yet to be disclosed where!πŸ˜‚), so Christmas will certainly be different, but I am very excited to see a more traditional approach – and a winter Christmas! πŸ˜ƒ

I hope you enjoyed reading about what Christmas means to me, and I would love to hear what Christmas means to you (if you celebrate it). If you don’t celebrate Christmas, what’s your favourite thing about this time of year? 😍❀

Until tomorrow! (December has come so quick!!)

Lui xx

I agree that Christmas is all about family but our family aren’t traditional kiwis who have barbecues, in fact we don’t really like a barbecue, we normally have a roast dinner with meat and vegetables. Pavlova is a must though!
