Hello all and everyone! π
Welcome back to Lui Maria! Seeing as my posting was pretty limited and patchy over the last couple of months I thought I would give you an update on my May, which I have seen other bloggers do. π
My May started in Sydney, on holiday with my family after being on a school trip in Europe (more on that in my next post!). I was pretty sick on the flight from Dubai to Sydney so I really used the week to rest up and convalesce before getting back into school haha! π It was really nice just chilling at the beach for a week, even if the weather was a bit colder than expected haha! π
I must admit that the flight back from Sydney to Christchurch wasnβt too badly (mostly because it was only 2 Β½ hours not 14 Β½!!! Plus, we were in the front row, which meant we were the first out of through security and off the plane! I donβt know how we went from row 78 (the last row) to row 42 (the rows start at row 41 on a A380 aircraft because business class and first class are upstairs lol) but it was certainly a change of scene!
Back in NZ was the start of term 2 (we have four) and with that a ton of new exams and assignments. Iβm lucky in that I take mostly English based subjects (other than German!) so I donβt have quite the same stress as science or calculus students, and that I enjoy what Iβm doing. I think it is very important to take subjects you actually love and can use effectively in the wider world, because you will always get more out of them. If science is your thing then do that, sure, but if youβre like me and are a Classics, English, and languages nerd, do that!! π
I think the one of the biggest things in May was developing friendships I made on the school trip I was on. I hadnβt really expected to make that many more friendships in my last year of school as Iβm mostly preparing to leave, but lo and behold some people are too awesome to not make friends with. I genuinely canβt believe that a couple of months ago we didnβt have the jokes and fun that we have had β and once again in my life, in the craziest of all settings: Greece and Italy! What is my life? Haha π But honestly, I have used up my travelling quota now and am setting down some roots here in NZ β for now π That travelling bug has hit me hard! But so have all the practicalities.
This is just a quick wee run down of my month, but I hope that nonetheless you enjoyed a wee read of it π I would love to know how your month was, or how your June is going? π
Iβll be back again soon with a post on my trip β because it was 100% awesome! π
Until next time,
Lui xx
Omg you travel so much! Compared to you I never travel lol. Though I will go to Serbia for a month in July though. Also cool photos!
